Snoqualmie Falls Brewing: Triskaidekaphobia 13th Anniversary Tripel Ale
FYI, that long ass word means fear of the number 13.
This is a perfect homage to a belgian tripel. i would pit this against any of the standard examples from the land of belgia. It has the fruit notes, the sweet—but not cloyingly so—malts, the boozy wafts, spice…. and the high gravity.
Tasting Notes: Peach, The Spice Feeling from Habanero (BUT NOT THE FLAVOR), Brandy
Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company: Plant 1 Powerhouse IPA
after a week or more of drinking just belgians, its nice to be back onto IPAs. i love local beers, and even tho its a bit gimmicky in name, its not on flavor. this has a very “washington” flavor (sorry, western washington that is.) i can’t wait till the one warm day a year where a bright and fresh beer like this can be enjoyed outside near a grill.
Tasting Notes: Pastels, Candied Orange Peel, Fleet Foxes, Clean and Cold River Water
